history

As an answer to prayer, Calvary Christian School, a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, began November 1973 under the leadership of Pastor Galen Call. August 26, 1974, 63 students entered C.C.S. for their first day. One week later, 35 Kindergarten children joined grades 1-4. School was conducted in the educational wing at Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia.

Shortly thereafter, 65 beautiful acres were secured 5 miles south of Covington on Taylor Mill Road. Ground breaking for a beautifully designed and spacious facility occurred on July 7, 1974. The building program was in two phases. First phase contained Kindergarten through 8th grade with the completion date in August, 1975. The second phase containing the gym, offices, middle and high school was completed in 1976.
